Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is September 26 - October 3 and we've already put out our book display! Banned Books Week 2009 is the twenty-eighth annual celebration of the freedom to read. The books we selected represent a small number of books that have been challenged over the years for a variety of reasons. The primary categories of objection are sex, profanity and racism. A map has been created at http://bannedbooksweek.org/ illustrating where books have been challenged from 2007-2009. You may view the map here.
